The scholarship application process is as follows:


Online Registration

Please apply for the course through the online registration system first, when applying attach the following documents:
①Passport copy
②One passport photo(2X2 inches)

For those who wish to apply for a student visa (for studying Mandarin purpose), please also submit:
③Copy of diploma from high school or above, or equivalent
④Original copy of your financial statement
Applicants need to prove that they have the financial resources to study in Taiwan, so they must provide proof of financial resources within 3 months, with a deposit amount of at least US$2,500 or the equivalent in other currencies.
If you don't have a bank account, you can provide a letter statement(original copy signed and endorsed) from a guarantor with his/her original copy of the financial statement.

◆Vietnamese students must have a language proficiency certificate in either English or Chinese.(Details).

When registering, you can also indicate in the remarks field that you would like to apply for the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship from the Ministry of Education or the Taiwan Scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and omit Step 2.

※Please note:
Regardless of whether you are applying for a scholarship, as long as you want to apply for a student visa to study Chinese, you must provide financial statement.


Apply for "Course Application Approval Letter"

After receiving the school’s payment notice, please write to mlc@sce.pccu.edu.tw to inform them you need to apply for the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship from the Ministry of Education or the Taiwan Scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (to facilitate inquiries, please include your full name as according to your passport, and your passport number).

After receiving the above, the school will send you a "Course Application Approval Letter"
With the "Course Application Approval Letter", you can start to apply for the scholarship.


※Please note:
The "Course Application Approval Letter" is not an official admission notice from the school, and it can only be used for applying to the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Taiwan Scholarship.


Apply for Admission Letter

After the Taiwan Overseas Office confirms that you have been awarded the scholarship, please provide the scholarship award certificate to the school and pay the course fee.
After paying the school fees, the school will issue you an admission letter.
Submit the admission letter to the Taiwan Overseas Office to confirm receipt of the scholarship.


Start the Course

Within your first week of starting school, please hang in the following to the school:
①A copy of the scholarship award certificate
②A copy of the UI number or an alien residence certifiacte(ARC)
③ A copy of your bank book cover from a local bank or post office in Taiwan

Depending on the student’s attendance, the scholarship will be awarded on the 10th of the month following the month in which the award is received.
